Habitat:
Tall manuka scrub 3-5 m high with regenerating (including emergent) Manoao colensoi, Halocarpus biformis and Lepidothamnus intermedius. Leptospermum scoparium - Lepidothamnus intermedius - Phyllocladus alpinus - Fuscospora cliffortioides / Myrsine divaricata - Gahnia procera - Pseudopanax lineare / moss - Empodisma minus - Celmisia dubia scrub. On a colluvial toeslope with a 5º slope towards the river.
Notes:
Patch occurs about 20 m along river bank and is 10 m wide. Silver pine itself is up to 3.5 m tall and diameter of well established shrubs ranged between 1.7 and 10.4 m.
