Habitat:
On west side of plot (closer to beach), Spinifex sericeus and Ammophila arenaria form the dominant flora. Spinifex sericeus appears to create a favourable habitat for Euphorbia paralias, with the spinifex runners providing shelter for the seed to germinate in open sand between them. On the east side of the plot, Euphorbia paralias is growing among dense Acacia longifolia (Sydney golden wattle) maintaining a similar top height.
Notes:
Scotts Ferry Incursion
12+ mature Euphorbia paralias adults with flowering stalks from previous years, (some with flowers from this season), 22+ adult plants flowering from this season, 200+ juveniles, 500+ seedlings.
