Close to Anthosachne solandri in some aspects but glumes broad, multinerved, erose broad-tipped, midrib and margin of awn thickened, raised, pale,leaves flat, margin slightly scabrid, costa smooth to prickle-toothed above. Specimen needs to be lodged in a herbarium
