Along deep stream. Associated with mahoe, Parsonsia heterophylla, putaputaweta, Piper, Hoheria, rangiora, Myoporum, Muehlenbeckia australis, Sophora (tetraptera?)
Notes:
Juveniles have thin, narrow leaves but like normal robusta juveniles. 8-12 m tall; spreading tops, large limbs; dbh up to 45 cm; foliage sort of weeping on some specimen sp; bark tight, tough stringy bark, hanging off in 2-5 cm strips, grey-pink underneath.
