Notes:
Tall manuka (3-8 m) common. Kanuka (6-15 m) growing in regenerating scrub/forest alongside kamahi, toro, lancewood, treeferns etc. Less common than manuka at this site but closely intermixed with it.  Juveniles with very narrow leaves and often a purplish colour. Bark thin flakes, but not curling like serotina type. DBH to 25-30 cm.
