Flower / fruit Leucadendron salignum was one parent of Leucadendron "Safari Sunset", which Ian Bell produced. Several Leucadendrons in this garden have been identified as L. salignum. Leaves open with red flush on tips, including the subfloral bracts. One of > 6 Leucadendron shrubs here, 1.5 - 2.0 m tall. Ian Bell cultivated Leucadendrons and hand-crossed them (also guided by his mother-in-law, Jean Stevens). iNaturalist observation: 101978873
