Supplementary remarks:
This same day I (KF) searched nearby across the stream from Hurricane hut where collected previously in 1998 and I note that this site has changed immensely from then, as the shrubland has grown over the flats and not nearly so open now. Carex impexa and C. calcis was common here but not now - I found a few plants of C. impexa but not C. calcis (see CHR 483156 & 515415 1998 collections).
