Lax, slighty bluish soft leaves, channelled or involute; long rhizomatous. Rachilla long and > nut (c. 4 mm) and sparsely toothed above; small red marked appendage at the apex. Utricles spreading widely at maturity c. 5 mm long; beak weakly scabrid. Nut tan brown in colour.
