Notes:
Habit ± sprawling amongst other grasses, ascending at tips. Sheaths and leaves densely hairy, hairs clustered at nodes but nto noticeably longer or more clustered at blade junction. Leaves soft, margins slightly scabrid. Blades (mature) 10 - 12 x 0.6 - 0.7 cm. Culms 16 - 25 cm above last node. Racemes 4 -5 - (6), green, slender. Rachis 2 - winged margins very finely scabrid. Lower glume reduced to a minute scale or absent. Upper glume very small c. 0.3 mm long deltoid to sheathing. Lower lemma 3 - nerved. Upper lemma smooth. Spikelets c. 2.5 mm long. No obvious hairs. Ligule brown triangular pointed . Length of racemes 5 - 8 cm, slender. Length of spikeletes 2.5 - 3 mm. Spikelets distant ±1 ranked.
