CARfor idenitified by Chris Bycroft in the 2004 measure. Culm to 70 cm; 1-1.5 mm wide; slightly scabrid below inflorescence; basal sheaths dark brown, leaves double-folded; leaves not longer than culm (against CARfor); long pedunculate spikes, no cross veinlets. Possibly CARcoc, probably CARfor.

Habitat:
Possum sign in plot. Deer pellets in plot. Very steep and mobile scree slope with canopy of mahoe with some Tawa and pigeonwood. Very open understory of occasional Pigeonwood, Titoki and Heketara. Minimal ground-cover of hook grass and Blechnum ferns. Wet.
