On steep grazed hillslope, south aspect with parent tree (planted) 3 m away. Seedlings establishing on clay slump (slip) face.
Microhabitat:
Equisetum arvense, Thelymitra longifolia, Microtis unifolia - sparse plants on recent slump surface

Notes:
One Scots pine in the arboretum - our discovery of seedlings was new for C.R. Higgie (as was the equisetum!). Some 20 seedlings pines in area 3 m x 10 m
