Notes:
Local. Flower/ fruit. Patch ca. 100 m x 20 m - presumed rhizomatous. Culms slightly trigonous, shiny. Heads with green leaf-like rays 200 - 250 mm in same head and 3 - 17 mm wide. Compound umbels, proliferous. Bracts of the subsidiary umbels deep purple at bases with scarious distal ends. Spikelets green, 5 - 7 (-25) flowered, ovate-lanceolate. Stamens 3.
