Habitat:
At small creeks and wet areas with flowing water between Red Tussock.
Notes:
Abundant in basin, but also grow in tussock land up the slope to the saddle; plants are mostly beyond flowering, but not yet fruiting; leaves with long hispid hairs; scape measured in full flower (cm): 19, 17, 17, 14, 19, 19, 24; leaf length x width (cm): 7.5 x 2, 8 x 1.5, 8 x 1.5, 9 x 1.2, 10 x 1.2, 6.5 x 1.5, 9 x 1.3, 8.5 x 1.5, 11 x 1.5, 10 x 1.5; glomerule width (cm): 1.5, 2, 1.5, 1.5, 1.5, 1.5, 1.6. Further up the gully on moss under rock overhangs, plants are a lot smaller, e.g., scape 8 cm, leaf length x width (cm): 2.5 x 0.8.
