Habitat:
Old totara log lying in almost full sunlight in Coprosma dumosa / Polystichum vestitum scrub.
Microhabitat:
Mixed with Stereocaulon gregarium.
Notes:
Plants green, leaves papillose, margins toothed, underleaf substantial. Gemmae 14 mm long, tear-drop shaped. Matches description of sp. b of Pitt Island, de Lange and Heenan, CHR 593765 which was found on a burnt log. Definitely not C. exiliflora.
