Notes:
Red-brown, dense shortly rhizomatous mats. Leaves mostly erect, shiny red-brown; flat to slightly concavo-convex; leaf-tip flat, rounded to subacute. Spikes pale brown (straw), note these are old last seasons spikes. Glumes < utricles. Styles 3. Utricles speckled dark-red near apex, straw below.
Large population, but only seen here in this distinctive seepage - plants petering out in the lake green turf zone. A rather erect and narrow-leaved form, there could be genetic influence from surrounding population of C. decurtata. Searched the location of CHR 621756 of Davis but could not find any plants (all dried out).
