Growing on dry limestone gravel/colluvium in flat depressions near top of the ridge, facing the sea.

Notes:
Leaves orange-green, culms long arching and then trailing along the ground; clumps about a handspan across; utricles very thick and hard to penetrate; spikelets orange-brown; culms smooth and wire-like. Five plants seen and some seedling, collected some tufts and seed. Plants are fruiting.
