Notes:
Shortly rhizomatous forming tight mats. Blue-green flat leaves, stiff. 3 styles. Utricles smooth and shiny, brown or dark red-black both adaxial and abaxial sides, pale toothed bifid finely toothed beak. Glumes slightly < utricles, pale mid-region otherwise red-brown, awn barely or shortly excurrent.
