Notes:
Habit and foliage precisely that of neighbouring normal Stachys sylvatica L., but flowers differ markedly in form, colour, and markings. The white markings were absent, the red of a paler shade, suffused with green, this latter feature being very variable, some flowers being almost entirely green. Only one plant was seen, with three spikes, one of which was detached.
