Plants just starting to flower, with a few further away from the lake and closer to the Festuca novae-zelandiae grassland already fruiting. Plants closer to the kettlehole are smaller than the ones closer to the tussock grassland. Some plants with dark red leaves and scapes, others, particularly those in the grassland, with green leaves. Florets bright yellow. Generally, plants small with tiny glomerules. This is the same site as CHR 632424. Scape length at kettlehole shore generally between 2.0 - 7.0 cm; in Festuca grassland generally between 7.0 - 15.cm. Craspedia (nn) (CHR 567299; “Rex”).
