Fernland scrub, near site of old village.
Notes:
Small (? young) trees c. 2 m high. Young shoots and petioles, plus leaflet midribs beneath, brown puberulent. Flowers with large spathaceous curving calyx c. 7 cm long. Corolla irregular, 11-12 cm long and c. 9 cm from top to bottom across top of lobes, whole corolla curving forwards, reddish-orange with yellow-orange inside except reddish-orange veins; lobes 3-4 cm long, broad and undulate with very narrow ± frilled yellow margin. Style orange, exserted. Fairly common adventive in Fasiau area, mostly as very small trees.
