Cultivated in soil pocket on top of rock wall.
Notes:
Prostrate succulent herb with pinkish stems. Leaves to 2 x 1.1 cm, usually ± elliptic-obovate, dull. Flowers rose, opening in bright light only (thus diurnal). Petals forming a cup 2-2.5 cm across when expanded, 1.2-1.7 cm long, ± broad obovate, slightly emarginate; all plants had bright rose petals, orange at base. Stamens and style orange. Fairly common cultigen and most plants have flowers of this colour on Niue.
