Flowers had imbricating corolla lobes. One flower spike with 4 shorter side-branches below main stem - flowers later on lower branch.
I collected and grew a number of Watsonias from dunes at Castlecliff including specimens vouchered to CHR as C. aletroides, C. fourcadei and C. meriana.
This specimen most resembles C. meriana, but flowers later and corolla lobes of C. meriana are not imbricating. This specimen might have originated from my Castlecliff collections of wild plants too, but I can't be sure.
