Notes:
Herbs to 30 or 40 cm high, typical dahlia-scent when bruised. Flowers double or semi-double, 7-8 cm across, lemon yellow or orange-red. Outer phyllaries 1-1.3 cm long, ± recurved, deep green; inner phyllaries longer, stramineous. Rays of outer and middle whorls to 3.2 cm long, broad elliptic-obovate (orange-red florets) or narrow to oblong to ± elliptic and variously acutely lobed (lemon-yellow florets). Dahlias are uncommon, at least at this season. These plants said to have been grown from seed. Yellow flowers [Sheet A].
