Habitat:
Grazed - sheep/cattle - undeveloped hillside pasture. North aspect. Site c. 40 years old. Plants hardly dispersed, but now appearing on lucerne paddocks lower down. About 30 mins on farm track from house. Very windy.
Notes:
Biocontrol: Horehound (Marrubium vulgare) Invertebrate and Pathogen Survey 2017-2018.Property owners David and James Hyde are agreeable for release of BC agents.Abundance: Moderate (>100 m² ). Percent of cover at densest accessible point: 90 - 100%. Visual inspection for herbivore damage: none. Pathogens: collected. 1) 'Wilt' - no symptoms just wilting leaves. 2) 'Yellow spot' - yellow spotting of leaves. Plant parts affected: leaves. Level of impacts: very low. Presence of wilt symptoms: some plants. No other symptoms - dehydration? Cause of damage: 1x large brown caterpillar collected from horehound, but no damage seen. Second? flowering/seeding - wetter autumn? Collected: Many small leaf hoppers?, 1x pentatomid, several Nysius, < 10 spiders, 2x ladybirds.
