Habitat:
Merino stud farm. Grazed hillside - North aspect. c. 6 years old paddock but horehound on property from 30+ years ago.Low growing horehound/smaller clumps. Scattered clumps - throughout paddock. Area has long standing patches of horehound. Older areas/ few plants under old pine plantation - not controlled. Wettest autumn in 3 generations on farm. Significant grass/lucerne growth.

Biocontrol: Horehound (Marrubium vulgare) Invertebrate and Pathogen Survey 2017-2018.Property owner Simon Paterson is agreeable for release of BC agents.Abundance: Moderate (>100 m² ). Percent of cover at densest accessible point: 40%. Visual inspection for herbivore damage: none. Pathogens: Plant parts affected: leaves -weakened tips/edges. Level of impacts: very low - 1-2 plants found. Absence of wilt symptons. Healthy plants. Burr clumps not collected - grazed? Cause of damage: invertebrates collected - many ladybirds, 1x pentatomid , 1x spider, many Nysius, 1x moth.
