Notes:
Tree c. 10 m high, widespreading with branches tending horizontal. foliage deep grass-green. Flowers erect, few in raceme. Sepals to 3.5 cm long, linear or linear-lanceolate, greenish outside, reflexing; margins involute. Petals ± erect, 5.5-7 cm long, deep golden-yellow turning orange-yellow except for "dorsal" one white at anthesis; claws 2.5-3 cm long, slender except "dorsal" one with stouter claw c. 2 cm long; limbs 3-4 x 3.5-5 cm, almost square with truncate base except "dorsal" white petal with tapered base; all limbs crimped and undulate. Filaments < petals, pale green. Style = shorter stamen set. Pods deep shining green, rather twisted; margins thickish. Longest pod c. 40 x 4 cm (? nearly mature).
