Sinus absent, distinguishing it from other large leaved Hebes, e.g. those in the group Apertae. Therefore group is Occlusae. Distribution cuts out morphologically similar species like HEBacu. HEBang also ocurrs in this location, but has narrower leaves. Will not endeavour to take this down to a variety level given the quality of the specimen.
