Glumes not outstandingly unequal: lower glume 0.8 mm, upper glume 1.2-1.8 mm, a few pallea scabrid ½ length of keel, others throughout, anthers 0.2-0.8 mm. Leaves flat, 1 mm wide, scabrid on edges, extravaginal branching, some rooting at nodes. Ligule 1 mm, pointed. Caropsis 1.5 mm. The specimen had very few full spikelets.
