Note:
Seeds < 20 per head; utricles glabrous; male glumes closely imbricate; glumes membranaceous; keys out close to UNCauc, but the distribution is wrong. Leaves 0.5 mm wide; no conspicuously paler nerves. But probably UNCfil.
