Seeds distinctly angled (ribbed) and silvery papilose on faces. Glume midrib green raised along length, flanks reddish brown, with faint longitudinal striae. Spikelets single, bract much > and bent at insertion. Contaminent with Sporadanthus ferrugineus plants purchased from Oratia Nursery.
