Small tree 5-6 m high with stout trunk. Leaves ± pale glaucous. Flowers rosy-mauve, pale outside; corolla remaining ± funnelform in shape; petals mainly 6-7 x 3.5-4 cm, ± broad obovate, tapering to a short claw; lower petal whitish or yellowish towards base and rosy-mauve towards the very undulate margins; veins purple and prominent inside. Stamens and style curving downwards, pale mauve.
