Notes:
Erect plants to 1m tall, caespitose, branching extravaginal from base producing curved shoot base, nodes conspicuous, with long papery sheath. Culms erect, dark green. Leaves short, glabrous, auricles long, clasping. Spikes small, appressed to culm. Lemma does not appear to match any species known from NZ. Probably exotic species. Seed collected 10/3/2017, sown 10/4/2017
