Habitat:
On track and track verges just before the pines. In loess and stone chip of track. Dry and sunny.
Notes:
Leaves dull green and pilose, paler below with raised veins. Veins sunken above. Flowers pale pink-mauve (lilac). Perennial woody rootstock - much branched from base. Stem 4-angled. Brittle at base, difficult to pull. Upper leaves pinnatifid lobes at base, rest toothed.
