Habitat:
Edge of spring-fed stream running through red tussock and bog rush wetland within shallow stream channels crossing the wide alluvial outwash terrace on the south bank of the Rakaia river. In floodprone depression, on edge of a bog rush wetland. Growing with Yorkshire fog, jointed rush, sweet vernal and lotus.Aspect: flat.
Notes:
The marsh arrowgrass covered a mere 1 metre. The distinctive arrow-shaped fruits were open and dropping seed.
