Supplementary remarks:
Non-rhizomatous. 2 stigmas. Leaf pale brown/green, scabrid margin, veins midnerve and 2-3 secondary nerves prominent below on dried leaves, channeled at base, becoming flat towards tip and tip curled. Spikes approximate, c. 1-1.5cm, with male at tip. Glumes < utricle, pale with dark specks and and cream midrib with very short awn. Utricles c. 3mm, tip tapered, margin scabrid, smooth, light pink with darker flecks and green marginal band, beak narrow, abruptly narrowing to stipe.
