Notes:
Shrub 2-2.5 m high. Shoots dark green, ± flattened. Leaves dark shining green above, orange-scented when bruised. Spines present on young and vigorous vegetative shoots mainly. Fruit to c. 7 cm diameter, globose except for apical nipple, becoming orange; flesh pale orange, very sour, presumably mature.
