Habitat:
Abundant in recently filled shallow pool, close to the lake margin terrace. Area not grazed by stock
Microhabitat:
Growing with Agrostis stolonifera and Cotula coronopifolia
Notes:
Also noted on lake margin at NZTM E1547734.0 N2457723.5. There it was growing underwater until recently dried lake mudbed filled up with Agrostis stolonifera, Lythrum hyssopifolia, Crassula sinclarii, water speedwell, Hydrocotyle sulcata. This electic mix of species reflects the low lake level followed by rapid inundation with lake level increased over 20 cm in a week. Landowners Duncan and Leigh Jefferis agreed to the specimen being deposited in the Herbarium.

Supplementary remarks:
Receptacle hemispherical. Cypsela 1.5 mm long, 0.5 mm diam at truncate apex (3:1). ☿ florets 9 or 10. ♀ corolla 0.4 mm long.
