Flower.Flowering plants and many seedlings in lawn, within 1.0 m of potted up specimens on gravel/weed matting.Leaves terete, green, veined. Corm with chocolate brown tunic. Stamens 3 (hence F. [family] Iridaceae). Perianth bright yellow inside, 6 separate tepals. Underside (back) of tepals pale yellow with purple-brown veins in distal half of each; 5 main veins per tepal with 4-8 straight side veins (not anastomosing) - veins more obvious on inner 3 tepals and in distal half of each tepal. Floral bract translucent with purple-streaked midrib. 6 stigma lobes, each flattened with fimbriate (or ciliate?) margins.
