Habitat:
Inland makatea forest margin, on ± volcanic soil.
Notes:
Trees from c. 3-4 m to 9-10 m. Specimens from several of them, all sterile. Bark smooth, mottled pale grey and greenish. Leaflets thin and dull deep green; midrib and main veins pale green above. 20-30 trees in this area on the makatea margin but not seen elsewhere. All sterile.
