Notes:
Herb with very long running, ribbed, hispid stems. Leaves deep green on upper side of lamina and with grey flecks along veins and in vein axils, to c. 23 cm long from petiole base and 32 cm across. Male flowers c. 8 x 9-10 cm across lobes, yellow; lobes 3-3.5 x 4-4.5 cm, ± crimped. Stamen "column" c. 2 cm long; filaments c. 1 cm long. Female flower similar but slightly larger. Fruits to c. 42 x 15 cm, broadly ellipsoid to almost dumbell-shaped, dark green with narrow pale green longitudinal bands. Fruiting peduncle ribbed, only expanded where joining fruit.
