Notes:
Tree 8-9 m high. Leaves dark glossy green above; petioles purple. Flowers ramiflorus, very few flowering spikes at present. Flowers with perianth 7-8 mm long, often ± pendent and appearing like tiny shuttlecocks; lobes narrow oblong, white, strongly ciliate. Only flowers seen on this common inland tree. Known to flower freely after cyclones.
