Notes:
Perennial herb with very thick rhizomes. Basal leaves large and broad and cauline leaves smaller. Stems erect to c. 1 m high terminal inflorescence. Leaves towards inflorescence becoming strongly lobed. Inflorescence to c. 3 cm long, foetid, subglobose, the main central one largest, lateral ones progressively smaller. Corolla blue; petals deeply 2-lobed. Calyx with pale bluish-white midrib and acumen. Style blue, long exterted. Seeds prolifically and regenerates around garden and neighbouring Packe Street Park to where it was introduced.
