Herb with think green rhizomes. Stems erect, strongly deep crimson-spotted, stem sheath at base strongly purple-spotted. Leaves shining, with veins indented on upper side. Flowers ± pendent perianth 12-13 mm long, greenish-white with dark purple inside on upper part of segments, these opening widely so flower appears campanulate. Corona white, alternate to perianth lobes. Stamens white. Labelled as Disporopsis omeiensis but this appears to be an invalid name.
