Habitat:
One clump/large bush growing on steep rocky slope approx. 3m above stream bed (on true right of stream) amongst scrub/low forest.
Microhabitat:
Vegetation in area comprises scrub dominated by Coprosma rigida, Coprosma propinqua and Corokia cotoneaster, with low trees of Olearia avicenniifolia, Hoheria lyallii, and Griselinia littoralis.
Notes:
This is the first record I have of Teucridium parvifolium from SNA surveys within Orari Ecological District. I have recorded it at a number of locations further east (Geraldine ED).Also present in this stream valley are two separate clumps of Carmichaelia kirkii (at risk: declining), a substantial population (at least 50 adult plants) of Carmichaelia torulosa (nationally endangered) and good numbers of Melicytus (aff. flexuosus) "Waihi" form.
