Small herb with thinly herbaceous leaves and small single taproot. Inflorescence of dense small flowers forming a flattened head. Corolla with white tube and limb 2.3 mm across; lobes pale mauve, c. 1 mm long, broadly oblong-obovate and rounded apically. Anthers whitish. Fruit (young) broad and rounded dorsally. A single plant.
