Habitat:
Growing on exposed pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) tree roots at top of cliff amongst lank growth of Rytidosperma racemosum.
Notes:
Locally common.Associated with Chiloscyphus semiteres, Fissidens tenellus var. tenellus, Kurzia and Lepidozia spp.
Specimen notes
Supplementary remarks:
Leaves < 0.5 mm; mid laminal cells 25-30 µm; paraphyllia seemingly absent.
