Habitat:
Common on the basal branches and trunk of a massive bryophyte covered Kermadec pohutukawa (Metrosideros kermadecensis) which is the dominant tree in the dense Metrosideros/Rhopalostylis forest that covers this part of Raoul island. Associated with sparse P. aurata (see AK 326758) and the mosses Papillaria crocea and Pyrrhobryum paramattense.
