Notes:
fruitBark thick, rough on bottom 3 m of trunk, then peeling smooth. Buds > 7, operculum hemispheric. Fruit 6-8 mm diam, valves included. Leaves grey-green concolorous, mostly lanceolate (some falcate), veins obscure other than midrib.

Supplementary remarks:
Leaves ovate, acute tipped, densely pubescent below, as are young shoots. Leaves becoming glabrate above. Bark becoming glabrous, grey-brown, with pink buds.
