Notes:
flower c. 6 tussocks with 2-3 m² - hard to pull tillers with roots. Lvs shiny green, ± flat to V in cross section, almost smooth. Culms smooth but slightly scabrid below inflorescence. Heads with 5-(6) spikelets, lowest bract with awn > spikelet but < inflorescence. Male flowers at base of spikelets, female above, with 2 stigmas. Fruit not yet formed.
