Spontaneous in pasture and plantation surrounds.
Notes:
Saplings (usually with > 1 shoot because of being mown at least once) to c. 2 m high. Stems and petioles deep rose; leaf lamina with main veins often pinkish beneath. Young leaves purplish. Many plants over many sq. meteres. Parent(s) plantation margin.
